Diagnostic Brief: General Alarm (Red Triangle)

Technical Analysis

USER SYMPTOM: Warning light is solid; infuser mechanism will not move or is stuck in an intermediate position.

ROOT CAUSE: Infuser is not at the home/removal position after interrupted shutdown or increased drag from coffee residue on the rails, causing the drive to stall and trigger General Alarm.

REQUIRED TOOLS: Food-safe silicone grease; Warm water; Soft brush or cloth; Vacuum or small brush

Restoration Protocol

  1. Switch off using the power button and wait for shutdown
  2. Unplug machine and open service door
  3. Remove drip tray and grounds container
  4. Remove infuser by pressing both red release buttons and pulling straight out
  5. Reset infuser position by plugging in and powering on then off with power button if infuser will not release
  6. Rinse and dry infuser, then vacuum grounds from infuser bay
  7. Apply a thin film of food-safe silicone grease to infuser side rails and reinstall infuser
  8. Reinstall tray and power on to verify alarm clears

Prevention

Always switch off using the machine's power button (do not cut mains power mid-cycle), rinse the infuser weekly, and lubricate rails about monthly or when they look dry.
